  15.      _p_s_r_o_f_f is a shell script that runs troff(_1) in an environment to produce
  16.      output on a POSTSCRIPT printer.  It uses _p_s_d_i_t to convert _t_r_o_f_f
  17.      intermediate output to POSTSCRIPT format, and spools this for printing.
  18.      If no _f_i_l_e_s are specified, the standard input is used.
  19.  
  20.      For those interested in including arbitrary POSTSCRIPT language commands
  21.      or files in a _t_r_o_f_f document, see _p_s_d_i_t(_1).

  23.      In addition to the standard _t_r_o_f_f options, the following options are
  24.      understood by _p_s_r_o_f_f.
  25.  
  26.      ----tttt   sends the POSTSCRIPT output to the standard output, rather than
  27.           spooling it to a printer.  Note that this overrides the meaning of
  28.           the _t_r_o_f_f ----tttt option; if you want that, run _t_r_o_f_f directly.

  30.      ----FFFF _f_o_n_t_f_a_m_i_l_y
  31.           use the specified font family for the R/I/B/BI fonts, rather than
  32.           the default family, which is _T_i_m_e_s. Fontfamilies _T_i_m_e_s, _C_o_u_r_i_e_r, and
  33.           _H_e_l_v_e_t_i_c_a are probably defined at your site, and others may be
  34.           available as well.  Make sure the printer you will use contains the
  35.           font family you pick!  Note that this overrides the meaning of the
  36.           _t_r_o_f_f ----FFFF option; if you want that, run _t_r_o_f_f directly, or use the ----DDDD
  37.           option.

  39.      ----DDDD _f_o_n_t_d_i_r_e_c_t_o_r_y
  40.           find font family directories in the specified _f_o_n_t_d_i_r_e_c_t_o_r_y, rather
  41.           than the standard font directory which was configured in the
  42.           installation procedure.  Note that it may be necessary to use both
  43.           this option and the ----FFFF option to imitate the ----FFFF option in _t_r_o_f_f.

  45.      The following spooler options are passed on to _l_p.

  47.      ----dddd_d_e_s_t
  48.           causes the output to be sent to the named destination.
  49.  
  50.      ----nnnn_n  causes _n copies of the output to be produced.  The default is one.

  91.      The _e_q_n supplied with _t_r_o_f_f is different than the original.  Use the
  92.      options ----rrrr555577776666 ----mmmm2222 for best results.  Other programs (e.g., _p_i_c)
  93.      distributed with _t_r_o_f_f have the device names compiled in (so much for
  94.      device independence!).  They should just have a ----TTTT option and read the
  95.      device description file for the information they need.  Use ----TTTT555577776666 with
  96.      the _p_i_c distributed with DDDDWWWWBBBB....
